About this Event
Fall Southside Trauma-Informed Community Network Meeting
Come join us for the Fall Southside Trauma-Informed Community Network Meeting at the Petersburg Public Library. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with others in the community, share resources, and learn about trauma-informed practices.
Our next meeting will feature Steven Herring from Crater’s Emergency Preparedness & Response (EP&R) program, an expert in coordinating public health emergencies through preparation, collaboration, education, and rapid intervention. Steven collaborates closely with local, regional, and state emergency response partners to enhance readiness and response to a range of critical situations, including bioterrorism, infectious disease outbreaks, and other public health emergencies. We will discuss essential preparations for disaster scenarios, including what to pack if evacuation becomes necessary, key items for emergency kits, and strategies for creating and practicing evacuation plans. This session promises to provide invaluable insights and practical tips to ensure our community is well-prepared for any unexpected event.
Brunch will be served.
