Expressive Landscapes Painting Workshop

Immerse yourself for a full day in the expressive world of acrylic landscape painting. This welcoming, hands-on workshop is open to everyone, whatever your level of experience. Through guided demonstrations and creative exercises, you’ll explore vibrant colour, bold mark-making, and loose, energetic brushwork to create a landscape full of movement and atmosphere. The focus is on expression rather than perfection, giving you the freedom to experiment, build confidence, and enjoy the process of painting.

All art materials are provided, so you can relax, experiment, and focus fully on the creative process.

By the end of the workshop, learners will be able to:

• Use vibrant colour combinations to create mood and atmosphere in an expressive landscape painting.
• Apply a range of mark-making techniques using brushes and tools to add energy and texture to their work.
• Simplify a landscape subject into bold shapes and tonal areas rather than detailed realism.

• Complete at least one finished expressive landscape painting using acrylics.
• Demonstrate increased confidence and freedom in their approach to acrylic painting and creative decision-making.

About Alexandra

Alexandra Ghimisi is a professional contemporary artist and dedicated art tutor based in the UK. Her vibrant acrylic paintings explore light, nature, and emotion. Through supportive, intuitive teaching, she inspires confidence, creativity, and personal expression in students of all abilities.

Alexandra is a Fellow of the Nottingham Society of Artists, member of the National Acrylic Painters’ Association (NAPA UK) and member of the Visual Artists Association.

She has exhibited at prestigious shows including ING Discerning Eye (Mall Galleries, London), Sky Landscape Artist of the Year Wild Card 2026 and the London Art Biennale.

Her paintings are included in public and private collections across Europe (France, Italy, Switzerland).
