Saturday 14th March 2026 – Exploring Cartersford - Gower society Youth activity.
MEET: 10am – 12pm, Cartersford, Lower Fairwood, SA2 7LE ///tripled.spellings.conga at Cartersford The road approach (B4271) to the entrance is dangerous and just on the bend at Cartersford Bridge; there is no provision for queuing on the road, so make your approach slowly and carefully, being prepared to turn left (if coming from Fairwood Common) through 2 gates. Limited parking so please share cars.
DETAILS: Join Gower Society Youth to explore and help reforest the new Gower Society site at Cartersford on the north Gower Road. We will take a walk around the site and explore signs of animals that are living there. Do you know your animal footprints and other signs? Find out how to track animals using the fox walk and look for the signs such as owl pellets, feeding signs and poo. We may also be planting young trees on the site and turning the area back into a woodland. Suitable for families. Tickets free funded by the Gower Society.
