About this Event

Special guest: Ontario Streams

Established in 1995, Ontario Streams is an environmental charity dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of streams and wetlands, through education and community action. Our projects focus on restoring streams and wetlands through on-the-ground work, including activities such as: native tree and shrub planting, garbage cleanups, species-at-risk rehabilitation and monitoring, and community outreach programs. Through our on-the-ground restoration projects and community engagement programs, we strive to contribute to long-lasting positive environmental change in the watersheds we work in.

We will learn about one of the world's most popular citizen science nature app, iNaturalist. Following a brief tutorial, we will travel along the trail and share our observations with other enthusiasts while also recording them for scientists!

Participants are encouraged to download and install iNaturalist on their smartphone or tablet.

All ages are welcome! There will also be nature-themed activities available for younger children. Children are required to have adult supervision. To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of the program for all participants we kindly ask that pets stay at home or explore the park independently.

This program will take place outdoors (weather permitting), so wear comfortable shoes and appropriate outerwear. Don't forget to bring water!

Meeting point: Woodbridge Pool & Memorial Arena parking lot.
