Within this three and a half hour workshop, you will receive expert level presentations on the nature of the nervous system and its states, how emotions become trapped in the body. You will experience an interactive guided session with somatic practices, emotional processing tools & vagal drills, as well as gaining key nutritional guidance on how to support nervous system balance and regulation. Together, we will also move through guided meditations, yoga asana, and collective sharing of kai, moving us into a deeper state of connection and conversation with our individual and unique bodies and minds.
Our intention with this workshop is that you leave with an embodied understanding of your nervous system, its states, your unique manifestations of these states, and a newfound sense of empowerment to move yourself towards a sense of balance and ease within your body through yoga, meditation, nutrition, and tailored somatic practices.
Here is the full menu of what you will receive:
1 x Wellness Talk with Rebekah Ballagh
-Exploring the NS in general and each state including the nuance of mixed states
-Discussing the concept of ‘meeting and completing’ emotions and matching tools to nervous system states (up vs down regulation etc.)
-Uncovering windows of tolerance & scheduling bite-sized regulation practices into your day
-A summary of how emotions can come to be stuck in the body, hence the importance of somatic/body focus in our work
1 x Wellness Talk with Alex Ballagh
-Understanding how the food we consume affects our nervous system (Gut-Brain Axis)
-Learning the impact of stress on our ability to uptake nutrients from our food
-Some basic tips and tricks and easy recipes to support your nervous system health
1 x Somatic Workshop with Rebekah Ballagh
-An experiential class exploring a variety of somatic tools to help with restoring balance to the nervous system
1 x Yoga and Meditation class with Alex Ballagh
-A Vinyasa Flow class designed to support you to drop in to deeper body awareness and connection with self, culminating in a guided meditation to develop a sense of safety and ease within the body
1 x Closing Sharing Circle
-An opportunity to reflect, share, and share intentions moving forward after this workshop

Open to: Members and non-members, anybody wanting to understand and connect more with their mind and body, nourish their nervous system, and gain potent tools to serve nervous system health
Investment: $105 members, $120 non-members (*20% discount applies for annual members of Soul Studio)
NB: All yoga mats and props are provided. Participants are invited to bring their own water bottles, notebooks, and lunch (fridge available for chilled items).
