Experience Community Longshaw Estate Ramble
About this Event
Longshaw has been owned by the National Trust since 1931, after being first bought by the people of Sheffield in 1928. It is part of the larger National Trust Peak District Estate and is run along with the High (Dark) Peak Estate and White Peak Estate.
The route has been tried and tested and is approximately 6km long with some steep hill climbs. It is at an altitude of over 1000 feet and the weather can quickly change, so please wear and bring appropriate clothing.
We will meet at 11 am for an 11.30 am start. There are several accessible parking spaces and accessible toilets.
Dogs on Leads.
This will be a socially paced ramble of around 3/4 hours long with opportunities to stop for a break or take photographs. We will stop to have a packed lunch so it is worth bringing food and drinks.
People who use other types of off-road mobility equipment are welcome to join the ramble, however, the route has only been checked using a Mountain Trike and access cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us to discuss this prior to booking.
If you have never tried a Mountain Trike before and/or have never attended an Experience Community ramble before, please contact us at [email protected] before booking a space on the event so we can discuss it further with you.
