When Words Fall Short celebrates the gratitude we carry for the gift of creativity, and the ways it sustains, uplifts and helps us make sense of our world. The artworks express hope, resilience and a deep appreciation for the quiet power of art.
Each piece on display is a testament to the human spirit’s ability to transform emotion into colour, form and story, reminding us that even when words cannot capture what we feel, art can.
This exhibition brings together artworks by local emerging artists involved in a Neami National arts-based program. As a community mental health service, Neami National supports people to explore creative expression in ways that honour their strengths, values and personal style.
This exhibition recognises the power of art to support wellbeing and expression, fostering resilience, confidence and stronger community connection through creative inclusion.
This exhibition is presented by The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre and Neami National, supported by SA Health, Government of South Australia, showing in the Kerry Packer Civic Gallery 3-26 June 2026.
