24‑hour stop‑work meeting - Flinders Medical Centre
After more than a year of bargaining, and despite intensive discussions and advocacy since the State Election, the South Australian Government has still not put forward a nationally competitive wages and conditions offer that genuinely values and respects public sector nurses and midwives.
At a time of rising demand, workforce shortages, and fierce interstate competition for skilled health professionals, South Australia cannot afford to fall behind.
Earlier this month, nurses and midwives at Lyell McEwin Hospital stopped work for 24 hours to show the government that we deserve wages and condition that respect and value the critical work we do every day.
On Thursday, 18 June, it’s Flinders’ turn.
