Join your fellow Financial Professionals for dinner at The Franklin Hotel. Come out and connect, have some laughs, and eat great food.

Entry is FREE. You can buy your own drinks and meals at the bar.

These events are for professionals who work within areas of Finance to network and connect. The dinner is open to all aspiring, current, and former professionals working in Finance (broadly defined).

These events are run bi-monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, and Dec.

What to expect?

People start to arrive at 6pm. They tend to spend some time moving around socialising and catching up with friends/meeting new people. You can order dinner at any time. Eventually, enough people get hungry, and we naturally transition into a sit-down dinner. If you are new there will be plenty of people present who will draw you into a conversation and make you feel welcomed.

It would be a good idea to bring a name tag if you have one at home so people can remember your name.

What about the venue?

We have booked a table inside at The Franklin Hotel.

• They have a good variety of food.
• Are directly opposite a UPark carpark.
• 14 minute walk to the train station.
• 8 minute walk to the tram.

Meals are pretty tasty and filling. They have meals that cater for gluten free, vegetarian and other dietary needs.

Where do I park?

Adelaide streets have metered parking up to 6pm in most places. So it will cost you around $1 before 6pm, or free if you are arriving after 6pm. If you are looking for a secure parking lot there are:

• UPark Grote, 82 Grote St (3 min walk to Franklin Hotel)
• UPark Central market, 60 Gougar St (5 min walk to the Franklin Hotel)

Why is this event being run?

I moved to Adelaide in 2019 and struggled to find opportunities to meet new people. I started these bi-monthly dinners to meet people in the same field in a relaxed no-pressure social environment. Organising these dinners fulfills my need to meet new and interesting people and form genuine relationships.

What will you do with my email?

This event requires tickets so that I can let the restaurant know how many people to expect. I will use the joined email addresses to invite you once to the next event, and nothing more.
