Andrea Modica: Italian Story — Opening Reception

Alice Austen House Museum

Rooted in Modica’s Italian American heritage, Italian Story brings together intimate portraits alongside photographs of landscapes, interiors, rituals, and everyday life. Together, the works explore identity, memory, family, and place while tracing the artist’s evolving relationship with Italy.

This exhibition marks the first U.S. presentation of Italian Story and Modica’s first solo exhibition at the Alice Austen House. Each photograph has been hand-printed using the platinum printing process, highlighting Modica’s dedication to traditional photographic techniques.

The opening reception is an opportunity to celebrate the exhibition and experience Modica’s work throughout the historic Alice Austen House.
