About this Event

First Aid Responder Training is Domain 4 of the Security Responder Certification, designed to develop and assess the practical First Aid skills required in real-world security and event environments.

The course combines First Aid knowledge with hands-on skills, teamwork and scenario-based assessment. Training draws on competencies found in Intermediate First Aid, practical concepts from Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), and elements of the New York State EMT practical skills examination.

Participants will work through realistic scenarios involving patient assessment, medical emergencies, trauma and bleeding control, CPR/AED, responder communication, scene management, 9-1-1 activation, EMS coordination and patient handover.

The emphasis is on moving beyond simply knowing First Aid procedures to demonstrating the ability to assess, respond, communicate and work effectively as part of a response team.

Participants who successfully complete the course requirements and practical skills assessment will receive a Security Responder Domain 4 — Event First Aid Responder Training Certificate.

This program is not an EMT or NAEMT TECC certification course.
