The Methodist Home proudly presents our 14th Annual Evening of Hope fundraising dinner on October8, 2026. This special night will feature guest speaker, former Atlanta Braves player and MLB legend, Dale Murphy. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at The Methodist Home's Rumford Center located at 304 Pierce Ave. in Macon.
Dale Murphy, back-to-back MVP winner and MLB legend, played most of his 20-year career with the Atlanta Braves, finishing up with the Philadelphia Phillies and Colorado Rockies. One of the most productive and decorated stars of the ‘80s, Dale was named to the National League All-Star team 7 times (5 as a starter), won 5 consecutive Gold Glove Awards, and 4 Silver Slugger Awards.
