Evening Exhale is a four-part summer series designed to offer exactly that—a space to slow down, move gently, and engage in meaningful reflection within a supportive community.
Each monthly gathering begins with a 45-minute gentle, all-levels Hatha yoga practice led by Dawn Cannon. These practices are thoughtfully themed around the evening’s reading, allowing the words to come alive in the body—felt, not just understood. Through breath, movement, and awareness, you’ll be guided to release the day and arrive more fully into the present moment.
Following practice, we’ll transition into a guided, open-hearted book discussion led by Jillian Jones-Peacock. Together, we’ll explore simple, meaningful passages from a selected book—sharing reflections, insights, and lived experiences in a way that is both grounded and deeply human.
This is not a traditional book club. There is no pressure to read the entire book or to prepare in a certain way.
Each month, you’ll receive a short email with selected passages and themes to gently guide your reflection ahead of time. You are welcome to purchase the book and dive deeper, or simply come as you are and engage with what resonates.
Our intention is to create a space where connection unfolds naturally—where movement, words, and conversation support a deeper listening to yourself and others.
Depending on the weather and the energy of the season, sessions may be held at Sunflower Yoga Studio or at a nearby outdoor location. All offsite gatherings will be within 10–15 minutes of the studio, offering a chance to enjoy the beauty of summer while staying rooted in our shared space.
