EPIC — Emerging Professionals in the Chamber — is a half-day conference designed for area professionals looking to strengthen leadership skills, foster individual growth, and advance their careers, knowledge and professional networks. Chamber members, as well as Saginaw County Young Professionals Network (YPN) members, are invited to attend.
The first-ever EPIC Leadership Conference on Thursday, October 8, 2026, brings together accomplished professionals, business leaders and emerging talent for a day of inspiration, practical learning and meaningful connections at Saginaw Valley State University's Curtiss Hall.
Start your day with a morning general session featuring LaMarr Woodley, a Saginaw native, former NFL player, Super Bowl champion, and successful business owner. Woodley will share insight drawn from his experiences in professional sports, business, and leadership.
Attendees will then choose from breakout sessions led by local industry leaders J.J. Boehm of Saginaw Valley State University, Beth Charlton of Covenant HealthCare, and Dick Garber of Garber Management Group. Sessions will explore topics including workplace culture, professional storytelling and relationship-building, and connected leadership.
The conference concludes with a luncheon and keynote presentation from Jason Richardson, a Saginaw native, former NBA player, and current business owner. Richardson will share experiences and perspectives designed to inspire attendees to pursue growth, embrace opportunity, and make an impact.
