About this Event

Michigan Listening Sessions:

A platform for farmers, ranchers, manufacturers, and small business owners to share their regulatory challenges.

Are excessive federal regulations, red tape, or uneven enforcement impacting your ability to run your business? The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of the National Ombudsman wants to hear from you—in your own words.

As part of our nationwide Lawfare & Regulatory Reform initiative, National Ombudsman Robert Bolen is hosting three interactive listening sessions across Michigan. Our mission is simple: to amplify the voices of Main Street and bring your real-world pain points directly to federal leadership to spark meaningful change.

We want to hear your candid experiences with:

  • Agriculture & Ranching: Compliance burdens, land use restrictions, and environmental mandates.
  • Manufacturing & Production: Supply chain rules, workplace safety enforcement, and domestic-content mandates.
  • General Small Business: Overzealous enforcement, confusing paperwork, and costly regulatory delays.

This is not a lecture or a standard government presentation. The event will include a panel, a networking meet and greet and one-on-one small group conversations.
