About this Event

Mental illness does not affect everyone, but we all have mental health, and emotional wellbeing.

When our emotional wellbeing is challenged it has an impact on all areas of our lives. Our resilience to the world around us can decrease and we can become more affected by situations, people and our own thoughts which can lead to being overwhelmed, unable to process what is happening around us and either feeling overly emotional or ‘shut down’.

It is not always possible to recognise when we are struggling with our emotional wellbeing and so having knowledge of what it is, the possible signs of self-emotional conflict, knowing when to stop and think of ourselves within the situations around us, and importantly not feeling guilty about putting ourselves first, is key to maintaining healthy emotional wellbeing.

This session will talk about emotional wellbeing and what it is, challenges that people may face, how to recognise when we are struggling and looking at positive actions that you can take. We will also discuss emotional resilience, knowing when to allow ourselves time to heal and who can support us with this process.
