Welcome to the Edinburgh School of Poets — Afternoon Open Mic Scottish Poetry Library | Wednesday 12th August | 1:30pm
Join us for an afternoon of creativity, community, and live poetry at one of Edinburgh's most beloved literary venues. This event is free and open to all — whether you're here to read or simply to listen and enjoy.
Taking part as a reader? Please arrive by 1:15pm to secure your slot. Bring two of your own poems in any style — with a brief introduction, you'll have around 3.5 minutes to share your work with a warm and welcoming audience. We aim to feature around 20 poets on a first-come, first-served basis, so early arrival is recommended.
Coming along to listen? Doors open at 1:30pm — just turn up and enjoy.
