About this Event
Paper Boats, Chandeliers & Industrial Dreams
Edge of Illusions invites you into an intimate dialogue spanning three countries and nearly a century of artistic vision. This powerful new exhibition unites contemporary masters Zoya Frolova and Janis Jakobsons with the enduring legacy of Ukrainian artist Vasyl Mironenko (1910–1964).

About the Artists:
Zoya Frolova (b. Kharkiv, Ukraine) has exhibited at Centre Pompidou, Corcoran Gallery, and leading museums across New York, Tokyo, Brussels, and Madrid. Her work appears in collections at The National Art Museum of Ukraine, The Zimmerli Art Museum, and The Slovak National Gallery, among others.
Janis Jakobsons (b. Riga, Latvia) brings a philosophical approach rooted in the duality of life. His work has been featured in museum exhibitions across Belgium, Greece, Finland, Austria, Estonia, and the United States, with pieces in The Latvian National Museum of Art and The Zimmerli Art Museum.
Vasyl Mironenko, one of the finest masters of color etching, drew inspiration from industrial sites, including Azovstal—a location that gained renewed significance as a Ukrainian stronghold duringthe recent conflict.

This collaboration between Rukh Art Hub, Tukku Magi Project, and Mriya Gallery bridges America, Latvia, and Ukraine in a conversation about how creatives navigate conflict, loss, and the collision between imagination and reality.
