About this Event
The Morris-Jumel Mansion Museum, the oldest remaining house in Manhattan, is a historic house (built in 1765) that preserves, collects, and interprets history, culture, and the arts to explore inclusive narratives that engage and inspire diverse audiences. There are eight period rooms on display, including the room George Washington used as his office during the American Revolution and the room where Lin-Manuel Miranda composed parts of Hamilton.
The Mansion & Grounds Tour offers an in-depth experience of Manhattan's oldest remaining house. This tour includes an exterior 30-minute orientation to the site and grounds, followed by a self-guided tour of the interior of the Mansion.
Tickets are on sale until 7pm the night before each tour. If you would like to purchase tickets after that time, or morning of the tour, please call the Mansion or email [email protected] to check availability.
Winter Weather Policy: To ensure the safety of our visitors and staff, this tour will be canceled in case of freezing temperatures, high winds, and/or precipitation. Visitors will be notified of any weather-related cancellations in advance and ticket holders will receive a full refund, or the option to transfer tickets to a later date. Ticket purchases are non-refundable unless cancelled by the museum. Please be prepared with rain gear, if needed, as limited shelter is available during the first 30-minutes of the tour.
