East Pond Shoreline Cleanup at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge

About this Event
Join the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and Sadhana for a shoreline cleanup at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge's East Pond valve supported by Councilmember Joann Ariola and Assemblymember Stacey Pheffer Amato.
Gloves, bags, and tools will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring their own water and sunscreen. The cleanup will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or thunder/lightning in the forecast.
Please Note:
Volunteers will meet at the end of. If arriving on foot please be prepared to walk/bike 7 minutes over the gravel trail from Cross Bay Blvd to the East Pond.
If arriving by car, please be prepared to drive slowly over the uneven trail and maneuver around dips at times, parking is available along the trail.
