Stop by our information booth near the Crossing Parking Lot to learn how to sort your trash (brown vs blue vs green bins), and then grab gloves and a trash bag to pick up litter during your hike! - Remember to bring enough water and snacks for each person and pet in your group (it is recommended you bring 1 liter for every 2 hours of hiking/person).
- Water bottle refill stations are located at The Crossing and The Willows restrooms.
- Recognize the symptoms of heat illness in yourself and others.

ABOUT US
Wind Wolves Preserve is a 93,000-acre nature preserve located approximately 30 miles south of Bakersfield, and is owned and operated by The Wildlands Conservancy (TWC). The preserve is open to the public daily and visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, or attend a staff led program, all free of charge.
TWC is a private, non-profit organization that operates more than 25 preserves along the west coast. Our mission is "To preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the earth and to provide programs so that children may know the wonder and joy of nature."
