About this Event
Educators and caregivers are frequently puzzled by children's behavior and at a loss as to how to address it. This is especially true for aggressive, disruptive, and other behaviors that often prevent the learner and their peers, as well as others in the classroom or environment, from fully participating and benefiting from the learning opportunities that are being provided.
This training presented by Michela Figini-Myers, Senior Director of Inclusive Programing, will explain the main variables influencing and maintaining behavior, focusing on how to improve learning outcomes by reducing less desirable behavior through antecedent and outcome management and modifications.
A portion of the training will address crisis response and how staff can best address their own as well as the student's needs amid a challenging situation involving behavior.
Developmentally appropriate Toileting Practices Toolkit and resources will also be shared.
Lunch, snacks, and classroom materials will be provided.
This event is open to all staff members working in preschool through kindergarten classrooms.
Please park in the back parking lot to enter the Kesey room.
