We are excited to announce our annual 5-Day October Retreat, 22 Oct - 27 Oct!Going on retreat has been part of Buddhism since the Buddha’s time. In Tibetan Buddhism, retreat is cherished as a time to be in a spiritually focused and supportive environment for an extended period of time.
Situated at the beautiful Maitripa Centre (10 min from Healesville), the retreat provides a tranquil and focused environment to deepen one's practice (or you can join the retreat online!)
At E-Vam Institute, we uphold the retreat format as provided by Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX (see Rinpoche's bio at E-Vam's website).
This includes:
🧘🏾♀️Structured time for meditation practice
🕉️Yoga
🎵Pujas (Tibetan Buddhist rituals that involves mantras and chanting)
☸️Studying recorded teachings by Traleg Rinpoche on various Buddhist topics.
This year's teachings are on 'Understanding Mahamudra, Understanding Ourselves'.
The retreat is suitable for all levels of students and our friendly retreat staff are there to support those new to meditation and Buddhism. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, meditate and study profound Buddhist teachings.
