Forget everything you know about serious choral music.
On June 6th at 1:00 PM, we are throwing the rulebook (and possibly the pitch pipe) out the window. We’ve invited the bravest singers in the region with one simple instruction: Make it funny.
What’s in store for you?
The "Un-Recital": Expect classic songs with lyrics that have been ruthlessly parodied. Think less "Moon River" and more "My Coffee’s Cold."
Choreography Gone Rogue: Synchronized swimming is hard; synchronized singing while wearing a rubber chicken hat is harder.
The VLQ Factor: Experience the "Very Large Quartets"—because sometimes four voices just isn't enough noise for this much comedy.
The "Accidentally" On-Key Moments: There might be some actual harmony in there, but don't worry, it won't last long enough to be serious.
Audience Guidelines:
Lower Your Expectations: If you’re looking for the Vienna Boys' Choir, you’ve taken a very wrong turn at the Canadian Automotive Museum.
Bring Your Funny Bone: This is an interactive experience. Your laughter is the only thing keeping our singers from realizing what they’ve done.
Prepare to Be "Treble-d": We promise an afternoon of high notes, low blows, and enough musical puns to make you groan.
