To ensure the tournament runs professionally and safely, we are structuring the event around the following key pillars:
1. Safety and Technique Seminar
The event will begin with a mandatory seminar focused on safety and technique.
Emphasis will be placed on identifying and avoiding dangerous positions (e.g., “break arm” position), as well as proper head and shoulder alignment.
Students will also learn fundamental armwrestling techniques such as proper setup, the hook, and the toproll to promote both safety and skill development.
2. Qualified Referees & Community Ambassadors
We are working to include experienced armwrestlers from local and provincial clubs to act as referees and ambassadors.
Their role will be to:
- Officiate matches safely and fairly
- Support student learning and technique
- Help ensure a professional and positive environment
3. Tournament Direction & Organization
The tournament will be managed by a dedicated Tournament Director using official bracket software to run a structured double-elimination format. This will help keep the event organized and running smoothly.
