"Dobolás a csendbe?" Micsoda ellentmondás! Hogyan is lehetne csend a dobok zakatolása mellett??
Ám a csend, amire én utalok, az a tisztánlátás állapota, amit akkor élünk át, amikor legbelül teljes nyugalomban vagyunk.
- Életed jelen szakaszában kiegyensúlyozatlanságot tapasztalsz?
- Túl sokat vívódsz a gondolataiddal és a kötelességeiddel?
- Nehezen találod meg azt a flow állapotot, amikor lelki békét érzel?
Az életünkben lévő "zaj" mennyisége nagyban befolyásolja tudatosságunk minőségét, és ezáltal életünk minőségét is.
Engedd meg, hogy bevezesselek a dobolás világába, ahol ritmusok és dallamok segítségével lecsendesítjük a szívünket, és tudatunkat a szellemi áramlás állapotába juttatjuk.
Dobolás során a kezünk ciklikus ritmusban való mozgatására összpontosítunk. Ha jól csináljuk, ez a fajta koncentráció dobolás közben a tudatunkban lévő nem kívánt zajok kiszűrését segíti.
Amikor megszabadulunk a fejünkben lévő hangzavartól, a csendet a tudatunkban lévő tisztaság formájában tapasztaljuk meg. Ilyenkor jobban összhangba tudjuk hozni mindennapos cselekedeteinket az általunk igazán vágyott célokkal.

A szingapúri származású Kelvin Kew a Los Angeles-i Zeneakadémia ütőhangszeres szakán végzett, 2006-ban kezdte tanulmányait Mamady Keitával, és azóta egész zenei karrierjét a djembe köré szervezte. Nem sokkal a 2008-as TTMI Certified Teacher képesítésének megszerzése után alapította meg a TTM Singapore-t, majd 2013-ban a Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Akadémia alelnöke lett (https://www.ttmda.com/kelvin-kew)
Napjainkban Kelvin a TTM Djembe Akadémia vezetőjeként a djembe ritmusok és djembe tanitás népszerűsitésén dolgozik világszerte és idén októberben ismét Budapesten tartja különleges foglalkozásait.

A Mindfulness Workshop with drums
"Drumming into silence? What an oxymoron phrase! How to be silent with all that drum banging !?!
But the silence I am referring to is the state of clarity each of us feel in our consciousness when we are truly calm within ourselves.
- Are you currently experiencing imbalance in your life?
- Are you always finding yourself juggling with too many thoughts/responsibilities?
- Do you find it hard to get into a state of flow that brings calmness to your heart?
The amount of ‘noise’ in our lives have greatly compromise the quality of our consciousness, hence the quality of our lives.
Allow me to bring you on a drumming experience where we employ the use of rhythms and drum songs to calm our hearts and navigate our consciousness towards a mental state of flow.
Drumming involves the concentration of hand movements engaging in cyclical rhythms. When done right, this type of concentration in drumming serve as ‘engines’ to filter out unwanted noise in our consciousness.
When we find ourselves free from the noise in our head, we experience silence in the form of clarity within our awareness. When that happens, we are better at aligning whatever we do in life with the goals we truly want for ourselves."

Meet your host: KELVIN KEW
A classically trained Singapore-born musician and a Los Angeles Music Academy percussion graduate, Kelvin began his study with Mamady Keita in 2006 and has since committed his entire musical career to the djembe. He established TTM Singapore shortly after he achieved his accreditation as a Certified Teacher with TTM in 2008 and became Vice President of the Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Academy in 2013 (https://www.ttmda.com/kelvin-kew)
Nowadays, Kelvin is working to promote djembe rhythms and djembe teaching worldwide as the leader of the TTMD Academy, and this spring he will visit Budapest again to bring two fantastic events.
