Imagine a time when everything you owned from undergarments to table linens had to be handmade, there were no shops to buy your clothes from. Animals and plants, flax and sheep wool specifically, were most commonly used during this time to make these items.This class is the second of our Sheepy Series where you will learn this age old process from start to finish. Learn how to clean fleece, prepare it for spinning, spin on a drop spindle first and then on a spinning wheel. Learn how to dye the this beautiful fiber using natural dyes over an open fire. With these dyed fibers you can learn to warp a loom and weave items.
