Wish you could accurately draw interiors, architectural details, buildings or landscapes? Learn how to create realistic depth and dimension in your drawings with this Linear Perspective Drawing Class. This series will guide you through the fundamental principles of perspective that allow you to transform flat surfaces into three-dimensional spaces.
Instructor Dannielle Arneson believes anyone can learn drawing techniques and her inclusive approach ensures you feel comfortable regardless of current skill level or background experience. Step-by-step instruction is provided with gentle, constructive critiques tailored to each participant's skill level and artistic goals.
During this course, you will learn the essential techniques of one-point and two-point perspective helping you to understand how objects shrink and shift in size based on their position in space. Through step-by-step exercises and expert guidance, you’ll explore how to:
- Create the illusion of depth using vanishing points and horizon lines
- Accurately depict architectural scenes, streetscapes, and interiors
By the end of the class, you’ll be able to draw with confidence, using perspective as a powerful tool to give your artwork a sense of realism and space. Join us and see how perspective can elevate your art to the next level!
The series focuses on different perspective methods and techniques. Each week a different technique will be learned which builds on the week prior. However, the courses are designed to be taken individually if needed.
Week 1: Overview of linear perspective and one-point perspective practice
Week 2: Two-point perspective introduction
Week 3: Putting linear perspective into practice
