About this Event
We will be at HARBEL Community Organization on Hardford Road (5807 Harford Rd, Baltimore, MD 21214). There will be free seeds, mulch and trees (courtesty of Baltimore City's Recreation & Parks) to help you with your greening projects. First come, first serve while supplies last.
This is not only a chance for you to get these resources for free, but it is also an opportunity to connect with city agencies and other organizations who work in your communities like the Department of Transportation and the University of Maryland Master Gardener Extension Program who can answer your gardening questions and give you great practical tips! :)
We ask that ask that you check-in at the sign-in table so we can know who we're serving. Thank you -- we look forward to recieving you!
Background
DPW’s GROW Center (Green Resources & Outreach for Watersheds) program is your greening resource hub, linking city residents, communities, and faith-based groups to materials, information, and technical expertise for greening projects.
Since 2018, we have provided free and low-cost trees, mulch, and other materials at our community pop-up events, as well as free workshops on topics including composting, community greening, installing rain gardens and rain barrels, and environmental justice
