About Fight Blight’s 10-Year Celebration
Join Fight Blight Bmore (FBB) to celebrate 10 years of impact in Baltimore through a special day of service, community, and connection. This event brings together volunteers, partners, and community members to honor a decade of neighborhood revitalization and to continue the work that drives lasting change. FBB is partnering with Break A Difference to organize this volunteer event.
9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Volunteer Project
Fight Blight Bmore is a Baltimore nonprofit focused on revitalizing blighted properties to create safer, healthier communities.
Kick off the day with a hands-on project at the Hack Hub, helping restore garden spaces and support their mission to revitalize the block.
No prior experience is needed. Bring your enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to positive change. Sign up today and be part of something truly meaningful!
After the volunteer project, participants are invited to continue the experience by joining the Hood Hike or staying for a community cookout and special remarks. This is a chance to connect, reflect, and celebrate with fellow volunteers, partners, and community members. Be sure to select all tickets that align with how you’d like to participate.
11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Hood Hike
Join us for a guided Hood Hike, a walking tour through the Upton and Harlem Park neighborhoods. This experience offers participants a deeper look into the history, culture, and ongoing revitalization efforts shaping these communities.
Led by local leaders and partners, the Hood Hike will highlight both the challenges and the progress seen across the neighborhood—providing important context for the work FBB and community members are doing on the ground.
1:00 PM to 2 PM Cookout & 10-Year Remarks
As part of the celebration, FBB’s founder, Nneka N’namdi, will share remarks at 1:30 PM during the community cookout—reflecting on 10 years of impact, honoring the partners and community who made it possible, and looking ahead to the next chapter.
Whether you’ve been part of the journey or are just getting involved, it’s a meaningful moment to connect, reflect, and celebrate together.
Interested? Just choose all of the tickets that work best for you—whether you’re volunteering, hiking, attending the 10-year remarks & cookout, or joining for the full experience. All are welcome to stay and enjoy the community cookout beginning at 1:00 PM.
