ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Don Gulbrandsen first ventured onto trails during his childhood in Colorado and his passion for hiking and trail running remains strong today. He moved to Indiana in 2007 and over the years has explored every numbered and named state park trail. He still enjoys hiking these routes, usually with a camera in hand, and is always amazed at the natural treasures he discovers along the way.

Don graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Animal Ecology and North Park University with a Masters of Nonprofit Administration. Professionally, he worked for many years in the publishing industry before spending a decade in the nonprofit sector. Today, he works full time as a writer, editor, and book publisher. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife and hiking partner, Tari.
