Take a Stand. Walk for Change.
Domestic violence impacts families in every community, and the Texas Panhandle is no exception. In fact, Potter County reported 26.1 family violence incidents for every 1,000 residents in 2023, and our region continues to experience rates of domestic violence significantly higher than the Texas average.
These statistics are more than numbers. They represent our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family members. They are survivors whose stories deserve to be heard, individuals whose lives have been lost, and families whose lives have been forever changed.
On October 1, we walk for them.
Join the Amarillo-Potter-Randall Domestic Violence Coalition for our annual Domestic Violence Awareness Walk as we come together to raise awareness, honor survivors, remember those we have lost, and remind our community that ending domestic violence takes all of us.

📍 The walk will begin at Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas and end on the Potter County Courthouse lawn.
The walk will include food trucks, community fellowship, local partners, and inspiring speakers.
Wear your purple, bring your coworkers, friends, and family, and take a stand with us.
