Dog-Eared Readings at the Nature Festival

We have some wonderful news: Nature Festival SA has invited Dog-Eared Readings back for another year.
On Tuesday 29 September at The Jade, we’ll be gathering for an evening of writing and conversation around this year’s theme, SEED.
Our featured writer is multi-award-winning novelist, memoirist and essayist Jessica White, whose latest book, Silence is my Habitat: Ecobiographical Essays, explores deafness, ecology, place and the more-than-human world. Both Heather and I adored this book (review here) and we're so excited to hear her speak about it. Jess will be in conversation with wonderful Adelaide writer Katerina Bryant, author of Hysteria: A Memoir of Illness, Strength and Women’s Stories Throughout History.
And we also have two brilliant South Australian writers interpreting the theme of SEED in their own ways: Mag Merrilees, activist and author of the gloriously titled new story collection Scared Angry Laughing or How to Fix the World, and poet Sarah Pearce, who won an inaugural South Australian Literary Fellowship to begin her SA-based archival eco-poetry collection, forthcoming this year.
