Letters to Trees - Nature Festival 2026

We invite you to come and write letters to trees!
After a mindful, therapeutic introduction to the Park Lands on Kaurna Country, we explore our relationship with trees and how we can find words to connect deeper with them.
A guided meditation and slow walk will be offered before finding a tree (or trees!) to befriend in our Park Lands.
Writing for joy, love, release, friendship or activism, this event is designed to increase your wellbeing and your connection with trees.
Sharing your letter is welcome and optional. Literacy skills not required! A pencil or pen and paper is all you need - drawing for trees is welcome too.
You might like to join the group for a cuppa at the end (hot water and tea/coffee provided - BYO cup) and hear about how you can continue to support our trees beyond the session....
You might like to bring a small-folded chair to sit on or a yoga mat if being on the ground is uncomfortable for you.
Accessible Public Toilets are located at Marshmallow Park 350m from the Himeji Gardens entrance. We value inclusion and accessibility and have created this event with mobility restrictions and other limitations in mind, however we invite you to discuss your accessibility needs with us if unsure.
This event is FREE however we would like to support the Adelaide Parklands Association so donations are welcome and their details are on the booking link. Its also possible to donate at the event if you would like.
