As part of our Summer Reading theme, "Plant a Seed and Read," join Clinical Herbalist Nora Toomey at Hagaman Memorial Library for a free introduction to summertime herbs and their traditional uses. Drawing on her training and experience in clinical herbalism, Nora will discuss how various herbs have been used in herbal traditions to support seasonal wellness, including topics such as digestion, hydration, cooling herbs, and antioxidant-rich plants. Participants will learn about the history, preparation, and cultural uses of common summertime herbs and have the opportunity to explore the role of herbalism in contemporary wellness practices.
