About this Event
Please join us for a Mick Glick Discover Science Lecture, featuring Dr. Ian Miller, Chief Science & Innovation Officer of the National Geographic Society, for an epic journey as we travel from the time of the dinosaurs to the present and explore how 100 million years of change shaped the American West. This talk reveals the ever-changing history of the American West and how the National Geographic Society's 138-year legacy leads to global impact. The Society realizes its mission to illuminate and protect the wonder of the world by identifying elite talent, catalyzing breakthrough science, and leveraging our storytelling expertise and global partnership with Disney to reach people around the world. After the talk, a panel discussion with local University of Nevada, Reno National Geographic Explorers will continue the conversation and bring the mission of National Geographic Society to life.
