ABOUT THE EVENT
Unfortunately most of us know of someone who has been diagnosed with one of the many dementias that can occur.
The good news is that the diagnosis and treatment of dementia is rapidly changing, and The Florey’s brain research has been at the forefront of these developments.
Disease-modifying drugs is an exciting new area for dementia treatment. Up until now, we’ve only been able to improve the symptoms such as memory and cognition. But while new drugs coming onto the market are encouraging, they are not for everyone and there is plenty more being done to potentially modify and adapt effective treatment drugs.
