Developing Film Skills within Curriculum for Wales

Mae'r sesiwn hon yn rhoi cyfle i ymarferwyr ddatblygu eu dealltwriaeth o sut i integreiddio sgiliau ffilm digidol o fewn y Cwricwlwm i Gymru. Gan weithio mewn partneriaeth â Film Skills Wales a’r athro James Williams, bydd y sesiwn yn archwilio sut y gellir datblygu cynnydd mewn sgiliau ffilm ar draws y continwwm dysgu.

Bydd cyfranogwyr yn ystyried sut y gall sgiliau ffilm gefnogi creadigrwydd, cyfathrebu a chymhwysedd digidol, gan gysylltu â meysydd dysgu a phrofiad perthnasol. Bydd enghreifftiau ymarferol a strategaethau cynllunio yn cael eu rhannu i gefnogi integreiddio effeithiol mewn profiadau dysgu dilys sy'n adlewyrchu cyd-destun Cymreig.

Bydd cyfranogwyr yn:

• Datblygu dealltwriaeth ddyfnach o gynnydd mewn sgiliau ffilm
• Archwilio sut i integreiddio sgiliau ffilm mewn profiadau dysgu dilys mewn cyd-destun Cymreig
• Cael mynediad at adnoddau a strategaethau i gefnogi cyflwyno mewn ysgolion

Overview

This session provides an opportunity for practitioners to develop their understanding of how to integrate digital film skills within the Curriculum for Wales. Working in partnership with Film Skills Wales and teacher James Williams, the session will explore how progression in film skills can be developed across the learning continuum.

Participants will consider how film skills can support creativity, communication and digital competence, linking to relevant Areas of Learning and Experience. Practical examples and planning strategies will be shared to support effective integration into authentic learning experiences within a Welsh context.

Target Audience

Primary and secondary practitioners teaching Progression Steps 3–5.

Session Aims

Participants will:

• Further develop understanding of progression in film skills
• Explore how to integrate film skills into authentic learning experiences within a Welsh context
• Access resources to support delivery in schools
