Developing a qualitative interview guide & performing thematic analysis
About this Event
A beginners guide to developing an interview guide for qualitative research AND performing thematic analysis
This workshop is designed to provide novice health service researchers with the skills to develop a qualitative interview guide for a semi structured interview or focus group. Participants will also be guided through the process of analysing qualitative research using thematic analysis. At the end of the workshop participants will have a clear outline of an interview schedule and a plan for the conduct of the thematic analysis.
To get the most out of this workshop, participants will have a qualitative project that they are working on and will be encouraged to work on it through the workshop.
Prior attendence at the workshop Beginner’s guide to Qualitative Research methods is recommended, but not essential

Please arrive on time for this workshop, as it will commence at the advertised time.
A detailed map of the Baillie Henderson Hospital campus, showing direction of traffic, buildings and parking locations, is available here. Allow adequate time to find a car park, do not assume that a spot will be available in the closest car park. This workshop will be held in the downstairs training room in rush building (Building 5 on the map), which can be accessed on the southern side of the building at ground level.
