Over the course of this workshop, you will learn to hand-build a tailored collection of three essential desk companions designed to work together seamlessly in both function and aesthetic.

Our curriculum is designed so that your three pieces look like an intentional, curated collection. You will get to choose any three accessories to sculpt, including:
The Weighted Pencil & Pen Holder: Say goodbye to flimsy plastic cups. You’ll build a sturdy, weighted vessel tailored to keep your favorite pens, markers, or tools perfectly upright.
The Business Card & Note Display: A sleek, slotted stand designed to beautifully hold your business cards, display daily motivational quotes, or prop up a steady stream of sticky notes.
The Catch-All Small Trays: Perfect for corralling the small things that easily get lost—paperclips, rings, keys, charging cords, or wireless earbuds. Shape it as a sleek geometric dish or an organic, wavy tray.

🛠️ What the Experience Looks Like
No prior pottery experience is necessary. Our master instructors will guide you through the satisfying architecture of hand-building clay.
Cohesive Design: We’ll begin with a brief look at form and function. You'll decide on your set's signature aesthetic—will it be sharp and geometric, organic and wavy, or sleek and minimalist?
The Build: Using specialized slab-building, pinching, and coiling methods, you will construct each piece. We will provide precise measuring tools and templates to ensure your cards and pens fit flawlessly.
Texture & Surface Art: Once your forms are built, you’ll use studio stamps, carving tools, or ribbing tools to apply matching textures or patterns across all three pieces, unifying your set.
The Glaze Palette: Choose from our curated, professional glaze combinations (from matte earthy tones to high-gloss modern finishes) to coat your entire collection.
📋 Workshop Details & Logistics
Duration: 2 hours (giving you plenty of time to refine, smooth, and perfect each piece).
What’s Included: High-grade stoneware clay, studio tools, professional glazing services, and both kiln firings (bisque and glaze).
What to Bring: Just your creativity! If you have specific business cards or extra-thick pens you want to ensure fit perfectly, feel free to bring them along to measure against the wet clay. Note: Our instructors will help you mathematically account for the 10-12% shrinkage rate that happens during firing.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay dust on. Short nails are highly recommended!
