Join the City of Decatur for a touch-a-truck equipment show to kick off Public Works Week!FREE event from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026 in front of the Decatur Civic Center.
The public can view and climb inside City trucks/equipment: grapple truck, tree truck, backhoe, end loader, street sweeper, dump truck, hammer truck, valve truck, hydro excavator, and more. Learn from employees how the vehicles/equipment help maintain Decatur streets and other infrastructure.
National Public Works Week takes place May 17 through May 23. We appreciate the City of Decatur Public Works team!!
