  • Common Crochet abbreviations and symbols
  • How to read repeats and row instructions
  • Understanding Gauge and pattern notes
  • Reading row instructions in patterns

General Class Information:


Crochet Foundations is a relaxed, beginner-friendly monthly class designed to break crochet down into simple, approachable skills—one stitch at a time. Whether you’ve never held a crochet hook or you’re looking to strengthen your fundamentals, this class offers a cozy, low-pressure space to learn, practice, and ask questions.


This is a drop-in series, so you can join at any time. Each month focuses on one specific crochet topic or technique, helping you build skills step by step without feeling overwhelmed. Absolute beginners are always welcome, and more experienced crocheters may discover helpful tips and techniques to refine their work.


Classes focus on skill-building samples with occasional mini projects, allowing you to practice techniques at your own pace while gaining confidence in reading patterns, understanding stitches, and creating finished pieces.

  • Classes run 1.5 hours and begin promptly at the scheduled start time

  • Basic Crochet Tools (Crochet Hook, Yarn, Scissors, Tapestry Needle)
  • Limited yarn and tools may be available but bringing your own supplies is encouraged
