DAWG x Food Bank of the Rockies - Volunteering Opportunity
About this Event
Food Bank of the Rockies is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region and distributes enough food for upwards of 185,000 meals every day. Their food banks help make sure that our neighbors don't go hungry.
DAWG will be working in groups to measure, cut, tie, and bundle mesh bags that will be used by future volunteer groups to pack fresh fruits and vegetables for distribution in our community. These bags help ensure quality of produce and reduce impact on the environment. DAWG might also make hand-made cards for the Food for Health and Everyday Eats box recipients. These fun, appropriate, and encouraging cards go into boxes for various recipients, depending on the day.
RSVP's are required as we have limited volunteer slots. Additional registration will be reguired through Food Bank of the Rockies website, more info to follow after RSVP'ing.
