Authentic Bay Area’s Dating Authentically is an event where you are led through several 1:1 conversations with strangers with the intention to connect deeply using a balance of your mind, heart, and gut.

You are invited to take a deep breath and to remove the various masks you may hide behind. This is an event where you are highly encouraged to communicate authentically whatever comes up for you in the moment as you’re guided through various interpersonal games with heart-centered strangers.

The value of attending is learning how to communicate more effectively with the people who already matter to you, and it’s possible that you may walk away with a new flame (or two!)

Dress however you want. This is a drug and alcohol free event. The event is guaranteed to create feelings. We can’t guarantee what those feelings will be.

Doors open at 6:50 PM. The event starts at 7:00 PM. If you arrive after 7:10 PM, you will not be let in.

The event is from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM with an invitation to stay for unstructured connection time until 10 PM if desired. Humans of all gender expressions and sexual orientations are welcome.

Facilitators:

Dakota Quackenbush is the founder of Authentic Bay Area. She has been taking up space in the Authentic Relating world for the last 5+ years. Her background working in addiction and mental health already had her rooted in vulnerability, depth, and analyzing social dynamics when she found AR. Once discovered, she quickly began incorporating this technology into her everyday living. She is actively researching Authentic Relating’s Impact on Social Emotional Skills in Intrapersonal and Interpersonal Relationships. Her focus in life is reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and making authentic, vulnerable connections the norm. Dakota regularly closes her eyes to connect to her emotions and physical sensations. When she’s not facilitating connection, she can be found writing poetry or dancing any time a beat comes on.
