Northern frustration put through a psychedelic looking glass. Break beat, hypnotic guitars meets acid house rave.
Hailing from Wigan, Dirty Circus caused major waves on the North West music scene in the mid 2000’s. Gigging intensively they gathered a huge and loyal fan base, who became known as the DC Elite, headlining all established Manchester venues such as the Night & Day Cafe & legendary Roadhouse, as well as Wigan’s Haigh Hall Festival. After attracting interest from major labels worldwide, the band signed a record contract with Colombia Records. Live highlights from this point in the bands career include performing at Glastonbury Festival & supporting Manchester royalty the Happy Mondays. Unfortunately due to record company politics the band were never allowed to release on Columbia and parted way with the label after three years. Roll on ten years, the band met up at a wedding and agreed to jam. Upon playing together again, it was obvious the spark was still there and they headlined a triumphant comeback gig at Wigan’s Old Courts. Since then the lads have been working hard on a new eclectic genre crossing album, with first single Gloom, being played on 6 Music as “Track of Dawn” by Chris Hawkins. Artwork for Gloom comes from legendary sleeve designer Brian Cannon at Microdot. Through a combination of Ryan Whittle’s booming drums, swaggering bass lines, Stevie Ahern’s hypnotic guitar work, electronic programming and frontman Binnsy’s vocals & stage presence, DC are a formidable outfit, looking to right some wrongs & reclaim their rock n roll crown.

with DJ Sie Norfolk spinning the black circle of bangers through the night upstairs. DJ and occasional Shindig magazine contributor - recently opened for the Bees at their sold out Leeds Brudenell gig , played as a regular at the hugely missed Liverpool Psych Fest and a regular guest at Andy Votel's B-Music in Manchester . Also plays his own nights / days in Lancaster . Owner of far too many records after spending most of his life looking for elusive and interesting sounds. Expect to hear ... Eastern European Electronics , Anatolian Psych , Cinematic Soul , Italian Soundtracks , 60's Garage and much much more - all played from original vinyl
