Growing dahlias is fun and easy, even in our climate. Come learn about the steps and techniques for successfully building your own collection of dahlias. Karen grows them for weddings. She loves giving brides the opportunity to cut blooms for their bouquets.
The program location will be incliuded on the order confirmation.
Karen holds several art degrees, has designed two municipal parks, earned a Nation Green Infrastructure certificate, was a Penn State Master Gardener, and last year won a Phipps award for a sustainable garden that manages rain water. Karen owns And Flowers, a floral design business, and shares with clients the flowers that she grows on her property while gently teaching them about her sustainability concerns.
This program is part of the "Highland Park Garden Club Presents..." , a series of monthly programs designed to entertain and educate about gardening-related topics. Programs are free to HPGC members. Nonmembers are welcome to attend with an donation through Eventbrite ($10 suggested unless noted otherwise). All are welcome to join the club. Annual dues are $20.
