We're delighted to announce that Culture House Sunderland will open on Saturday 12th September 2026.
A living room in the heart of the city, Culture House will be a place where everyone is welcome – home to a new city library, immersive experiences, exhibitions, events, creative technology and spaces to relax, learn and explore.
Our opening exhibition, Our Home in Space, created in collaboration with The Barbican, will take visitors on an immersive journey from the deep ocean to outer space, exploring how everything in the universe is connected.
We'll be sharing much more about what you'll discover inside Culture House over the coming weeks, but for now, save the date!
