Cuentacuentos: El día de los muertos
About this Event
The Instituto Cervantes Manchester continues its programme to promote children's reading.
On this occasion, we are joining the Día de los muertos celebrations at the Manchester Central Library with a new storytelling session led by Magaly Flores: Citlali and the Day of the Dead, by Berta Llano, with illustrations by Jaime Rivera Contreras.
At school, the children are preparing an altar to celebrate this special day, bringing offerings to remember beloved family members who are no longer with them. Citlali wants to find something truly special to bring in memory of her dear grandmother, Elena.
In collaboration with Manchester City of Literature and Read Manchester – National Literacy Trust.
Recommended age: 4 to 7 years old.
Free bilingual activity in Spanish and English.

El Instituto Cervantes de Manchester continúa su programa de promoción de la lectura infantil.
En esta ocasión nos unimos a la jornada de celebración del Día de los Muertos en la Biblioteca Central de Mánchester con un nuevo cuentacuentos a cargo de Magaly Flores: Citlali y el día de los muertos, de Berta Llano, con ilustraciones de Jaime Rivera Contreras.
En la escuela están preparando un altar para celebrar el gran día con ofrendas que los niños llevan para recordar a los familiares queridos que ya no están. Citlali quiere encontrar algo muy especial que llevar para recordar a mamá Elena, su querida abuela.
