About this Event
MIL-TREE, in collaboration with the acclaimed movement and performance company Capacitor, is proud to present Cross-Pollination—a unique fusion of movement, ritual, and storytelling designed to foster connection among veterans, service members, and civilians.
This one-day performance at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center will feature a awe-inspiring dance performance on a custom-designed motion sculpture.
Veterans often face profound isolation when transitioning from military to civilian life - fostering personal resilience and connection are important goals of stronger support systems. Mil-Tree’s mission is to bridge the gap between veterans and their communities through creative expression and shared experiences. Capacitor, known for its transformative fusion of dance, sculpture, and immersive storytelling, brings its expertise in embodied movement to create a profound journey of discovery, communion, exploration, and transcendence.
"Cross-Pollination" explores the wisdom of bees—nature’s master collaborators and a vital force in our ecosystems. Just as bees navigate, adapt, and communicate, so too must we learn to reconnect, move, and evolve. Through the language of movement, this performance mirrors the rhythms of survival, transformation, and interdependence, offering a powerful metaphor for the reintegration process veterans face.
