Crombie Heathland Action
About this Event
Join ANGUSalive Rangers for an open day and guided walk exploring one of the region's most popular country parks and discovering how nature-based solutions are helping to create a more climate-resilient landscape.
Crombie Country Park is currently undergoing a period of regeneration following previous storm damage, with work focused on improving biodiversity, strengthening habitats and enhancing paths for visitors. During this guided walk, participants will have the opportunity to see recent restoration projects, learn about future plans for the park and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities involved in managing natural spaces for the future.
Following the walk, attendees are invited to join the Ranger team in helping to preserve an important heathland habitat. Working alongside Rangers, participants will help remove young birch saplings and invasive rhododendron, which threaten to encroach on the heathland and reduce its ecological value. All tools will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity to see nature-based solutions in action while taking part in practical conservation work that supports biodiversity and climate resilience.
